We proudly present the 18-hole mini golf course we designed and built for the Ashburton District Council. We transformed this previously underutilised space into a vibrant recreational attraction for the local community and every visitor to Ashburton.

We delivered the entire project in record time and within budget. Now 100% complete and open to the public, this custom course offers an engaging, durable experience. Navigate the entire course and explore all 18 unique, locally-themed holes using our interactive map.

ADC Logo

This hole replicates the Ashburton District Council’s river logo. The design captures the braided river system prominent in the region.

Hole 2.

Clock Tower

We designed this hole around the town’s iconic Clock Tower landmark. Players navigate obstacles mirroring the tower’s structure.

Irrigation

This course section highlights the essential irrigation schemes that support Mid Canterbury farming.

Hole 4.

Lake Hood

Lake Hood inspired this hole. We brought the area’s popular watersport and recreational lifestyle to the course design.

Hole 5.

Dairy Industry

A tribute to the district’s strong dairy industry. The hole features a yard with rubber matting and cows grazing on the paddock.

Hole 6.

Aviation Museum

This hole takes inspiration from the local Aviation Museum. Its design includes an exciting loop and planes painted by the Oamaru artist Wicksey.

Hole 7.

Sports

Celebrating Ashburton’s sporting life, this hole presents the most popular sports: rugby, hockey, basketball, cricket, netball and soccer.

Hole 8.

Pedestrian Bridge

This design mimics the form and structure of the local Pedestrian Bridge. Putt over or on this miniature crossing.

Whakanui Beach

We channelled the rugged, natural beauty of Whakanui Beach for this hole.

Hole 10.

Eels

The design recognises the native Tuna or Longfin Eels significant to local waterways. Highlighting hinaki and kete basket.

Hole 11.

Rakaia Salmon Statue

This hole features a custom-crafted salmon statue, a direct nod to the famous roadside landmark near Rakaia. Statue was painted by Oamaru artist Wicksey.

Hole 12.

Rakaia Bridge

The longest road bridge in New Zealand inspired this section. We created a scaled-down experience of the Rakaia Bridge structure.

Sheep

An ode to Mid Canterbury’s extensive sheep farming industry.

Hole 14.

Harvesting Season

This hole celebrates the district’s crucial arable and crop harvesting season. Combine harvester, silos and different surfaces.

Hole 15.

Curling and Ice Skating at Staverley

We based this design on the winter recreational activities enjoyed at Staverley. The surface and layout evoke an ice rink or curling sheet.

Hole 16.

Methven

Methven village inspired this hole. Its design references local pubs, buildings and popular hot pools.

Hole 17.

Hakatere Conservation Park

The natural, high-country environment of the Hakatere Conservation Park defines this hole’s aesthetic. Featuring Mount Sunday, the filming location for Edoras.

Hole 18.

Mt Hutt Skifield

The final hole pays tribute to the famous Mt Hutt Skifield. The topography on this hole simulates the mountain’s snowy slopes.
