Since 2016, we’ve completed thousands of playground designs for our clients.
We build around 100 playgrounds a year. That’s why we’re called “The Playground Builders.”
On average, we complete construction for eight new playgrounds every month.
Equipment
Creo Playground Equipment, locally built to last.
Check our new range of locally manufactured playground equipment in your workshop in Oamaru with expertise and detail. Focusing on maximising the play value with unique designs that range from swings to bespoke equipment to fit your space.
Featured Project.
The award winning Lorna Irene Reserve Playground is a first-of-its-kind play space for the children and families of Paraparaumu.
For a number of years, the need for a wheelchair-accessible playground grew and in 2022 the Kapiti Coast District Council began working with Creo to update the existing playground and create a fully inclusive play space for all the children in their community.
The new playground at Lorna Irene has given children with all ranges of abilities the opportunity to do what they do best, play, have fun, and build connections in an inclusive environment.
Project Case Studies
Social Wall.
Our latest project, the Wellington Botanic Garden Playground, is packed with little gems for users to discover. With great uniquely designed features for the little ones in our Pollination Station, where kids can hit the drums, play in our maze and even get toy cars on the racetrack!
On sunny days, the details of the Beehive Tower shine! Can you spot the sun detail coming through the panels? This space is full of Easter eggs for users to discover and engage with.
If you are around during the Easter Weekend, bring the little ones to play with all the details in this fantastic new playground.

Fun, risk and adventure. Children need all of that to have a rich development, and adventure playgrounds are key for improving quality of life and fostering skills that will last a lifetime.
When designing these spaces our designers always focus on:
- Risk Management: How do you keep it safe and offer enough challenge for growth?
- Play Value: What features does your space have? Does it cater for different age groups and abilities?
- Design: All about the flow, how users will interact with different features, creating a valuable space for all.

🐝 After 22 years, the Wellington City Council decided it was time to transform their Botanic Garden playground.
In collaboration with the community and the council, we designed and built this amazing new space that reflects what the Wellington Botanic Garden treasures: their biodiversity and how the little, hard-working bees manage to support all that environment.
With a central piece resembling a beehive and the junior structure being the pollination station, children will spread happiness all over this new space that is buzzing! 🍯
It was a great project that our team was honoured to be a part of, with so much detail, hard work, and great design that tells a great story. ⭐

I love the bee theme, so cute!
t's always great to look back at the work we've done and the journey to bring a project from a drawing to reality, where people create memories.
Thanks to Jack Rushton, who recorded this journey with the Caroline Bay Playground in Timaru, and we are delighted to share what a 'blank canvas' can become when community engagement, great partners, and passionate people come together to enhance our lives.

Quite incredible to see the size of the playground and the work that was undertaken. Awesome time-lapse Jack!
What a great treat our team got from West Coast Disability Resource Service.
Thanks for the kind words, and we are excited to bring this project to the Hokitika Community!

To improve a playground, more than design is needed. If we break down the principles of play, one might stand out when you have a project: Play Value.
