Project Update: Woolbrae Subdivision Playground

Work is progressing well on the Woolbrae Subdivision playground, with civil works and equipment installation advancing in parallel under one coordinated plan.

Here’s a snapshot of where things are at.

Civil works

  • Site earthworks and bulk cut well advanced, with ground preparation, compaction, and mounding complete across the playspace footprint
  • Mound formation complete, ready to be concrete capped and surfaced with Pour’N’Play
  • Basecourse compaction carried out across all surfacing areas
  • Concrete perimeter edging in place to define the playspace zones
  • Timber edging installed around the swing set zone, defining the softfall boundary
  • Drainage and levelling continuing across the wider site alongside subdivision civil works

Equipment installation

  • Pine 2-bay swing set frame erected, with basket seat, belt seat, and toddler seat to be fitted
  • In-ground trampoline base installed
  • Talk tubes installed, connecting play zones with underground acoustic communication pipes
  • Seven shade sail poles installed across the playspace, ready for sail attachment
  • Green Pour’N’Play Playpods installed under the swing seats

Surfacing and equipment installation (upcoming)

  • 74 m² of Pour’N’Play (15 mm top layer / 35 mm shockpad) across flat play zones
  • 34 m² of Pour’N’Play (15 mm top layer / 50 mm shockpad) over the concrete-capped mound
  • 139 m² of CushionFall
  • 300 mm woodchip softfall around equipment zones
  • Numat stone steppers set into the surfacing
  • Robinia multi-tower climbing unit
  • Robinia spinning carousel
  • Spring rider bike rocker
  • Sensory and education panels, including abacus and xylophone

Work is continuing on site and we look forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses toward completion.
