Since 2016, we’ve completed thousands of playground designs for our clients.
We build around 100 playgrounds a year.
On average, we complete construction for eight new playgrounds every month.
A new buzzing destination playground in the heart of the Wellington Botanic Garden.
The Botanic Garden playground has been a landmark in Wellington for many years, but the time has come to upgrade the space to be more inclusive and give it a fresh look.
The surrounding beehives and their role in revitalising local fauna and flora shaped the new playground’s bespoke design, which tells a story through play.
With features like a beehive tower and pollination station, children can immerse themselves in the wonders of nature.
Inspired by Māra hūpara, natural elements connect children to the environment, blending cultural heritage with the Botanic Garden’s commitment to conservation and education.

Matua Hook’s vision was to create a lasting, meaningful playground for his community, in Hastings – a place filled with cultural connections and vibrant play. Inspired by the region’s mountain and its connection to the sea, the playground includes water features, a sand area, and eels that honour his whakapapa.
“The outcome was better than I expected...I wish every kōhanga in New Zealand could have something like this.”
Congratulations, Matua Hook, for bringing your vision to us and creating this fantastic space for your tamariki.

David White, the Principal at Marshall Laing Primary School, just got a new, inviting, and now buzzing playspace!
“We wanted to create a smoother transition for our youngest students from early childhood centres to school, and this space has done exactly that.”
For him, the new playspace is an area for development, for connection, and it needs to be inviting. Our team couldn’t be happier with the result of this amazing new area for the kids!

Looks fantastic!
Did you know your choices have a wider impact than you might think?
When you buy local playground equipment, you’re not just supporting one business—you’re contributing to an entire ecosystem that helps that and many other business thrive.
Take, for example, the bespoke tower we recently installed at Wellington Botanic Gardens. Can you guess how many industries and people were involved in bringing that project to life? If not, here’s a snapshot:
At Creo alone, over 50 people were directly and indirectly involved in the design and execution of this tower. In the design phase alone, there were more than 10 creatives at work. Adding in manufacturing, sales, and operations, that's another 40 people!
Speaking of manufacturing, those beautifully perforated panels were designed in-house, but they were crafted by a South Island steel fabricator. And the timber used? NZ-sourced pine, supporting thousands of jobs in the forestry industry.
When it comes to logistics, it’s not just our Creo team involved, but also the transport company and the people who maintain their fleet—over 100 people were part of this operation.
So, when you choose to design and build a playground, think about the wider impact you’re making—not only in the joy you’ll bring to children as they play and make memories, but in the many families across New Zealand who benefit from your choice.
